This program at Canadore College will prepare you for a rewarding and challenging career working with youth and adults in crisis. You will gain a working knowledge of the law, criminology, victimology, and human behavior.
Benefit from practical workshops, industry tours, and an integrated field placement component. Applied workshops include conflict resolution, mental health first aid, hostage-taking, and negotiating.
This comprehensive training will give you the skills you need to work in the fields of youth justice, restorative justice, and adult corrections.

For the English as a Second Language program, it requires a minimum IELTS score of 3.0; for entry into English for Academic Purposes, a minimum IELTS score of 4.5 is required.
Both programs run full-time for 8 months. Students beginning in English as a Second Language will then take an additional 8 months full-time of English for Academic Purposes before moving into their program of study.
