Humber’s Bachelor of Digital Communications degree program explores the dynamic media environment and the cultural, social, economic and political implications of digital innovation. 

This program is rigorous and innovative, developing digital storytellers who are skilled in writing, visual communication, web applications and social media. 

You will build business acumen while working in an environment where creative ideas and methods cross-pollinate. 

As part of the program, you will take courses that deepen your awareness of your roles as a citizen conscious of the social, political, environmental and cultural contexts of your work. 

A culminating capstone project showcases your abilities and learning and serves as a platform for launching a career in social media coordination and management, digital content creation, media relations and many other mass communications fields. 

Work Placement

Students will gain practical, hands-on experience in the industry by completing a mandatory work placement which takes place in the summer semester between years 3 and 4.

  • Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
  • Five Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to the course listed above
  • Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) of 65 per cent

India:

• All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
• Year 12 State Board Exams
• With a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects.
• Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed

China:

• The National Senior High School Examination with a minimum grade of 70% or B in relevant subjects (School Leaving Certificate).
• Graduation Certificate awarded by the senior (upper) middle school; may be academic or vocationally oriented with a minimum of B or 70% in relevant subjects.
• Matriculation Examination with a minimum mark of 525.
• Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed

Iran:

• Diplom-Metevaseth/National High School Diploma with a minimum grade of 14 in required program subjects
