Honours Bachelor of Illustration

Illustration students at Sheridan explore both traditional and digital media. 

You'll also develop a visual philosophy along with your technical mastery. 

This broad-based approach will enable you to apply your Illustration degree across various career paths while preparing you to adapt to exciting developments in visual communication.

Sheridan's Bachelor of Illustration degree program includes a 14-week work placement between the third and fourth years. 

You'll also develop a workplace-ready portfolio and website.

  • Learn all types of illustration, from traditional disciplines (such as painting and drawing) to digital technologies (such as web design and motion graphics).
  • Take more Illustration courses than most programs.
  • Get professional experience during a 14-week work term.
  • Develop illustrations that inform, entertain and persuade.

Academic background and requirement

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:

  • One Visual Arts credit (Grade 11 or 12 U, M or O level or equivalent postsecondary credit course)
  • Four other Grade 12 subjects (U or M)
  • Minimum 65% overall average
