The Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) at RMIT is designed primarily for students from non-accounting backgrounds who want to develop an understanding of the technical and social dimensions of accounting and business.
It is a broad-based qualification that combines core accounting studies with authentic learning experiences delivered through industry-informed, work-integrated learning subjects and global study experiences.
This program intertwines accounting studies with carefully curated electives aimed at cultivating essential professional and cross-cultural skills.
Undertake work-integrated learning activities, integrating academic learning with practical workplace experiences.
A Postgraduate Business Internship elective where you take up a position for one or two days per week for one semester.

You must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or higher level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
1.5 year duration
You must have successfully completed:
An Australian Bachelor degree, (or equivalent overseas qualification) or higher level qualification in a business (or related) discipline from a recognised tertiary institution completed within the last 10 years.
OR
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution completed within the last 10 years and a minimum of three years full-time equivalent management experience*.
OR
The RMIT Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting^.
* Applicants will be required to submit a curriculum vitae (CV).
^Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate you will have the opportunity to progress to the Master degree.
