Overview

Bachelor of Science - Agricultural Science

Today's agricultural industry is all about science: logistics, engineering, robotics and genetics.

As a result, modern farming is an advanced, high-tech industry that creates a sustainable future.

At the University of Melbourne, agricultural scientists work in on-farm labs with drones and new technology. The University of Melbourne even has its robotic dairy.

You could use your biology and chemistry knowledge to develop food and fibre products that will be sustainable in our changing environment.

Or put your mathematics and statistics skills to use in managing livestock and grazing patterns that mitigate the effects of climate change.

Within the major, you can focus on animal production and agricultural or crop science.
