Master of Management

Offered to students holding an undergraduate degree in an area outside of business/commerce or those with a business background (with the option of some credit for prior study). 

The University of Melbourne's Master of Management will equip you with foundational business and specialist organisational management training.

You will leave the course with a strong understanding in:

  • Managing innovation and change
  • Motivating and leading people
  • Developing customer-orientated organisations

Injecting industry into your experience

Consulting Subjects: MBS offers Business Practicum and Global Business Practicum subjects, which see groups of students undertake a real business consulting project over 10 days for an organisation within Australia or overseas.

Internships: The internship subject offers you the opportunity to complete a placement in an area related to your studies whilst earning credit towards your Master’s degree.

Academic background and requirement

  1. In order to be considered for entry, you must have completed:
    • An undergraduate degree in ANY discipline, or equivalent; and
    • A personal statement outlining why you wish to be considered for the course
  2. In ranking applications, the Selection Panel will consider:
    • Prior academic performance (in previous intakes, a University of Melbourne equivalent 70 weighted average mark has been competitive);
    • A personal statement outlining why you wish to be considered for the course; and
    • An interview or any other evidence required by the Panel (if required).
